We are excited to have our June “On a Break with AWMA” with Brenna Kelly, a PhD student in Population Health Sciences at the University of Utah.

Brenna will be presenting here research titled, “Integrating mobile and stationary air quality data with spatiotemporal machine learning”. Mobile air quality monitors provide data at a fine spatiotemporal scale and may fill gaps in the irregular spatial sampling of stationary monitors. This presentation includes results from a case of ozone in Salt Lake County during the summer of 2023.

A&WMA scholarships -Applications due May 31, 2024

Hello A&WMA Members,

The Air and Waste Management Association Great Basin Chapter focuses on awarding scholarships to students pursuing careers in air quality, waste management, environmental management/law, or sustainability. For many years, the chapter has helped students with their education and often gives more in scholarships than larger chapters.

The Great Basin Chapter is excited to announce that we are now accepting applications for the 2024-2025 school year.   Please share the attached application package with interested students. This application package can also be found on our website: http://www.awma-gbc.org/downloads.

Applications are due May 31, 2024. Awards will be announced by July 15, 2024.
